Dear Potential New Member,

Your years at Virginia Wesleyan University will include so many exciting learning experiences, but perhaps none as well rounded and long remembered as being a member of a Greek organization.

At VWU, Greek Life is more than joining an individual sorority. Greek Life enriches your experiences throughout your college years.  It involves being a part of a strong, supportive sisterhood, not only within your individual sorority, but also within our three Panhellenic chapters.  We recognize leadership and success, and believe that each girl can grow into her great potential as a Panhellenic sister. Being Greek is more than just letters across your chest, but one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

We, along with all three of our sororities, are awaiting your participation in what is sure to be a rewarding and unique experience.  Formal Recruitment will allow you the opportunity to meet as many Greek women as possible, and will give you the opportunity to learn about each individual chapter, our Panhellenic community, and our Greek community at large.  You join something much larger than just one chapter; you will be joining the entire Panhellenic community.  Please do not rule out any sorority before Recruitment starts or before seriously looking at what it has to offer.  After all, every sorority shares common goals of sisterhood, leadership, academics, and personal growth.

No matter which sorority you choose, the Panhellenic friendships you form will last a lifetime.  Starting your first day as a new member, you will be a part of a group of women with common goals of success.  A sorority is much more than just another club to join; it is a group of women drawn together by mutual goals, trust, and respect.  We hope that you will enjoy the Recruitment process and will decide to become a member of the Greek community.  We wish you all the best in your future at VWU!
